“So here’s the thing…

Oh my Dear Lord!

My friend Ruth called and said, “I was looking at pictures today of us from 10 years ago… we were really cute! I mean, I was thin, you were thin…we were really cute!” LOL Anyway, we got to talking about how lazy we can be sometimes and why that’s not good in any aspect of life. I also told her about this “Walk Away the Pounds” video I have with Denise Austin and how I just haven’t had the motivation to do it. And it’s only FIFTEEN minutes!

So then she says to me, “I’m on my way to the gym. If I can do ONE hour, you can certainly do 15 minutes. I’ll call you when I get home.”

For those of you who don’t know Ruth, she’s the longest christian friendship I’ve ever had. I met her just a few months after I got saved. AND she’s somewhat of an alpha-female personality… In a good way. It makes her very self-sufficient and self-motivated at times. Plus she has this awesome fierce love for God, so she’s just an all around great friend to have in my life. Anyway, knowing that, I guarantee you she’ll call when she gets home to see if I did my workout… and I can also guarantee you that, had I NOT done the workout, she’d drive over here and MAKE me! LOL! And somehow still do it with the love of God.

So, since I did actually do the workout, let me just say…Oh my Dear Lord! I thought I might see Jesus by the end! LOL! This 15 minute video is designed so that you walk 1 mile by the end. Man, am I out of shape! Someday I’m hoping to work up to 2 miles…but for now I’ll wait till it doesn’t feel like my heart’s gonna explode. Sheeeesh!
