“So here’s the thing…

Rich, our youth pastor, has been doing this “christian paparazzi” lesson for the last couple weeks. The point is that the kids need to pursue God like the paparazzi pursue celebrities. Last week he showed a clip from Lord of the Rings… the one where Frodo is standing at the edge of Mt. Doom, holding the ring up in front of him dangling from its chain. (You know the story of the ring.) All the while Sam is yelling at him to throw it in, “WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?!” he yells at him. Then Rich turned off the TV, turned to the kids and said, “what’s YOUR ring? Why are you holding onto it? What are you waiting for?”
