Workin’ at the car wash!
We finally made it to see “Boogie Dynomite” at 5th Avenue in Royal Oak. Our friend, Gabe, is the lead singer of the band. (He’s also one of the leads for the praise and worship team at our church.) We had a lot of fun. Aside from the ringing in our ears and the nauseating smoke stench coming off our coats, it was fun to get out with some friends and dance to some good ol’ 70’s disco music. (They’re a cover band.) I couldn’t believe how many people were there! Sheeesh! There was a surprisingly good mix of ages though. Gabe’s mom and dad were in visiting from California, and Jami’s mom and aunt were there, too. Also, Steve (business admin for our church) showed with his sister. The lead guitarist is the head of praise and worship at his church, too, so it’s nice that Gabe has a “brother” up there on stage with him.
…but by midnight we were both pretty exhausted and became painfully aware that we are NOT 21 years-old anymore and it was time to go. All the band members wear goofy 70’s attire. Sunday worship will never be the same after seeing Gabe in a purple velvet jumpsuit and a big afro wig!

Do you happen to know how we can get the future schedule for Boogie Dynomite shows? I saw the same show you did, and would like to see them again! Thanks!
