“So here’s the thing…

Fiddle Sticks

I went out last night with my sister-in-law, Amanda, to look for some more Christmas presents for the kids. I’m discovering that figuring out what an almost 7 year old would like is pretty difficult. And he hasn’t been the most helpful with only offering up the suggestion of “floam.” (Ever see that commercial on TV?) Anyway, we ended up picking out some work clothes for Jason. He has to dress up like an adult now so he needed more dress shirts.

Ok…getting off track…back to Amanda. She knits all these different scarves for winter each year, and she has a really good eye for color combinations and stuff. She’s making Devyn one now that has this really pretty combo of bright pink and purple and teal. She’ll love it. So I made the mistake of asking her how hard it is to knit… and an hour later we’re on the couch laughing as I almost knit my hands together. My arm is actually tired from holding up these 2 HUGE sticks! Man! I’m a wuss! I have about 5″ worth of a scarf done so far though. “GO JAIMEE!”

  1. Deb:

So, I take it we won’t be getting 4 cute Simon family matching scarves this weekend? ;-)

  2. Jay:

Wait — Jason is wearing TIES now?

  3. J'me:

Sometimes he even has to wear suits! Hey man…this is a grown-up job with a 401k and everything!

  4. Jay:

My little brother-in-law is all grown up. ::sniffle::

Do you have photo evidence of this phenomenon? I’m not sure I’ll believe it until I actually see it. Can he wear one of these alleged suits Saturday? Or to church Sunday?

  5. Deb:

Maybe you could knit him some ties. Yeah, that’s what I’m talkin bout!
