“So here’s the thing…

My sister-in-law’s gentle nudging has reminded me that I haven’t written in my blog in a while. (Is it “in” a blog? or “at” a blog or “for” or “on”…?) Anyway, It’s been too long since I sat down here to type. I think I know what the problem is: I’m a perfectionist. Jay can empathize. I go to type and then think “what if it’s not interesting? What if the punctuation is off somewhere?” And so I walk away. I’m going to try to remember why I started this… to maintain some level of contact with the people I Love but can’t see on a regular basis. Here goes…

Happy Thanksgiving everybody, especially to my two readers! There actually was something I was thinking about the other day that I was going to write about, but it’s a fairly serious subject that I tend to get preachy about so I’ll wait till after the Holiday weekend. (I used the word “about” a lot in that sentence didn’t I?)

On a less serious note… What’s up with Walmart having half their toys online already OUT OF STOCK?! It’s not even December!! What do my niece and nephew want for Christmas by the way? I’ll just ask you guys on here since you’re the only two who read it. LOL My other nephew is 10 months old so he’s at that “adorable toys” stage. So many to choose from.

Hope we can find time to visit this Christmas. I missed everyone Thursday… Especially Marge. She helped me cook my first ever turkey back in 1998! It seems like no matter how much time goes by, holidays without one of your Moms is always hard. My heart goes out to everyone spending this Holiday season without that special someone. Love you guys.
